2 c. lightly packed fresh basil leaves
5 T. shelled pine nuts
2 cloves garlic
4-5 T. extra virgin olive oil
¾ c. freshly grated Parmesan cheese
¼ t. salt

In a food processor tted with a metal blade, chop the garlic. Place the basil leaves and a little
salt in the work bowl and process until nely chopped. With the motor running, add the olive
oil through the opening on top of the processor. Turn the processor o and scrape down the
work bowl with a spatula. Add the cheese and pine nuts, pulse a few times to incorporate
and season to taste.
